26 Oct 2006 Related News:Online Casino Industry Might Have to Find Alternative Options
Online casino operators predicted that the credit card companies in the United States will have to stop working with them, and they were counting on online e-wallets such as NETeller to become the alternative option. With NETeller announcing that online casino transactions won't be possible in the future, the online casino industry suffers another blow. Alternative means of online payment can always be found, but no one really expected that the internet gambling industry will have to come up with such means this early.
Non-American online casino players are, obviously, unaffected by the new Act, and NETeller still accepts -and will continue to accept- online payment by such players. American players that use NETeller at online casino sites are still able to conduct their online business using NETeller's services, until further information about the new bill will be made publish and the situation regarding online provides will be come clear. If NETeller feels that the Act is referring to their company as well, they will stop working with online casino operators in the United States.
