Con Hunley 'Still' Delivers Love at First Listen

30 Sep 2004

September 30, 2004 - "It's a love unlike any other love," Con Hunley states about his undying passion for music, while talking with Country Weekly editor Larry Holden during an interview for his current story in the magazine.

Hunley, who is experiencing a repeat rendezvous with his 'first love' while making records once again, has always projected passionate emotion through his unique vocal styling, but it has never been more evident than on his new IMMI Records release, which features his masterful rework of the single "Still."

Produced by longtime friend Norro Wilson, Hunley definitely 'delivers' with his love for singing, which is easily felt at first listen. Instantly catching favorable attention from critics and radio programmers alike, Hunley's soulful remake of the country classic "Still" (originally written and recorded by Bill Anderson) has given this hit-maker of the 70's & 80's another shot at the spotlight in today's country music arena. Hunley claims, "It's even sweeter the second time around."

Last month, Hunley earned an excellent review of Sweet Memories in Country Weekly Magazine and is now the subject of a feature in their October l2th issue, which is currently on newsstands. Country Weekly claims an unsurpassed presence at 94,000 checkout counters across the nation and has a readership of more than 3.6 million.

Hunley has also enjoyed prestigious press reviews of his current music in Billboard Magazine and Music Row Magazine. He has garnered a feature story from noted music journalist Don Rhodes, was spotlighted on AngryCountry's web magazine, and will be featured in a future issue of CMT Magazine. He's had several appearances on XM Satellite Radio and performed a live acoustic show at XM's Performance Theater in Washington, which was broadcast 'border-to-border and coast-to-coast' twice on America Channel l0.

Hunley has completed countless interviews with AM-FM radio stations around the country, been a featured guest artist on Talk One Radio Network, and has been interviewed by the ABC Radio Network, which feeds to 250 affiliate stations throughout the US and Australia, as well as to the BBC. Recent television appearances include a featured guest slot on Bill Cody's Country Classic GAC-TV show and a performance segment on Storme Warren's Country Music Across America GAC-TV show.
